Sometimes it's hard to believe, but I actually called the west coast of the United States home for the first half of my life. Even as a young desert girl in Arizona, though, I heard and couldn't resist the east coast calling. After college, I finally made it to the east coast when I moved to New York City for law school. After graduation, I went on to work as a litigator for a large international firm in the city. But after six years working as a lawyer, my heart yearned for something different, so I leapt from the corporate world to a job that allowed me enough time to explore my passion for photography. Soon I was carrying my Canon everywhere I went, and I began to realize that I had a new calling: I needed to turn this beloved hobby of mine into a career. I launched my photography business in New York in 2017. A few months later, life unexpectedly brought me, my husband Tim, and our golden retriever Hudson to Boston. We now happily split our time between Brookline and Nantucket, MA, and we've added another dog to the mix as well. (We adopted Brody, my in-laws' golden, after living with them for about a year and a half during the early stage of the pandemic. The dogs became extremely attached to each other during this time, and we couldn't bear the thought of separating them.)
The love of my life, my husband Tim. Smart. Funny. Cuddly. He makes life better, and makes me better, too.
Our two English Cream golden retrievers, Hudson (6) and Brody (8).
This one's tough! In Boston, I'm obsessed with Pammy's, Mahaniyom, and No Relation. In Portland, I love Chaval and Fore Street. And on Nantucket, The Nautilus gets my vote.
Prosecco. Dark chocolate. And my daily iced coffee with macadamia milk and Jot coffee concentrate: a quick (and delicious!) fix.
South Africa, hands down. I've been fortunate enough to travel to South Africa twice for safari, and I can't wait to get back again.
If I'm not behind the camera or the computer, you can probably find me out on an adventure with Tim, Hudson, and Brody, practicing yoga, or studying astrology.
My clients cherish every moment, and appreciate that life is short and beautiful. They know that great photographs can help freeze time.
Perfectly posed photos are great, but images that capture genuine personality, the essence of a fleeting moment, a smile or glance that defines a person to those who know her best -- those photographs are treasures. My clients care about the little moments, and value my approach to photography, which emphasizes capturing my subjects as they are when they forget about the camera.
My Instagram account features a mix of families, newborns, couples, wildlife, and landscapes I've photographed, and of course, lots of updates on our very good boys.
