If you’re expecting a winter baby, you might not be thinking about newborn photos just yet—but trust me, summer is the perfect time to start. Booking your Boston newborn session in the summer gives you a head start in more ways than one, and it makes those early newborn days feel a whole lot smoother. Below are a few great reasons why planning ahead on your photos is probably one of the smartest (and easiest!) things you can do to start checking off your baby prep list, leaving you feeling both prepared and excited.

(1) You know you want to capture this precious and fleeting time in your life; commit to it now before your judgment is clouded by the way you feel physically at the end of your pregnancy.

(2) As we all know, after summer comes fall, which is always such a packed time with everyone back in the office after August and Labor Day vacations, the kids back in school, football season (or, more importantly, fantasy football season, if you’re like me!), leaf-peeping, fall weddings, Halloween, and of course, end-of-year holiday preparations.  It’s so easy to forget to book your photo session with everything going on during this time, and miss the opportunity to shoot with your dream photographer. 

(3) You’ll have 6 months or more to plan outfits and make sure you have the items you want for the nursery.  Knowing you’re having photos done is a great incentive to get your home in order early, and you’ll be so glad you don’t have to deal with it while caring for a newborn.
