Okay, it’s still a little chilly out there to be calling it summer, but nevertheless my summer photo season on Nantucket begins today! I am so looking forward to seeing many of you over the coming months – I know it’s going to be a great season and I’m excited to share my love of photography with you.

If you’re looking for some fun weekend plans, you can stop by the Nantucket Photographer’s Network show at the Dreamland on Friday evening (5/26). I will be amongst several photographers showing and selling my work in support of the local nonprofit Addiction Solutions of Nantucket. There will be refreshments and a cash bar, so come enjoy yourself while you peruse some beautiful artwork.

The photos I’ll be sharing – along with many other favorite pieces of mine – are all available in my print shop. My passion for wildlife and nature around New England is abundantly on display in these photos, and are beautifully displayed using only the highest-quality print materials. With the sunny season quickly approaching, I wanted to share some of my personal favorite things to do on Nantucket (other than going to the beach!), as well as some recommendations on things to do with your kids on Nantucket. You don’t need an excuse to get over to Nantucket, but it’s nice to have a few ideas in your back pocket, which I’ll be sharing with you. I’ve also got a great photography event I would love to see you at when the summer kicks off so that you can document the summer of ‘23 in style. 

Whether you’re joining me for an in-home or studio photography session in Boston this spring, or planning to get outside with your family and enjoy spring’s bounty of flowers and sunshine, I’ve got tips for you!  In my last post I shared my favorite locations for outdoor spring sessions in Boston, as well as timing considerations for this time of year.  Today I’m sharing some ideas about what to wear for your spring family or motherhood photographs. 

As a Boston photographer, I am always eagerly anticipating the arrival of spring. The warmth of the sun, the blooming flowers, the vibrant colors, and the excitement in the air, among many other things, make spring the perfect time for capturing beautiful outdoor photos. I love the way the light dances through the trees as the days lengthen, and the many opportunities to take advantage of New England’s natural beauty. Spring is a great time to get outside and take photos of all the beautiful flowers that emerge over the course of just a few short weeks, especially in the Boston area.
